Hudson Valley Paintings - Summer 2021

“Humans are taught to be afraid of bears, of poison Ivy, of predators and poisonous plants. But are we most afraid to listen to ourselves?

Can we allow the quiet resonance of nature to inform, teach, destroy, question and build new beliefs? Instead our minds seem more capable of busying with earnest distractions that quiet our doubts . What if we observed our distractions, disconnected from repetitive consumption, worked on listening as a method of taking care of one another and our surroundings. Perhaps then, we can embrace the work of understanding humanity’s place within Earths environment, instead of mindlessly destroying it.”
